Halepenos in November-ish

Ok I know it's about three hours 'til November, but they are still growing and it's October (ish). I had about fourteen good sized peppers two weeks ago. I'd say there are about the same amount of little pepper sprouts still...

Fall Pictures

The time span of these pictures is two weeks ago to yesterday. They will get newer as we go along.. :) Enjoy!

I love this one: it's like a firework in the ground!
A lot of fun raking to do!
There are many more pictures in this Fall weather that could be taken and posted, but posting pictures are very annoying!

The Fourth of July

At least I'm getting around to this before next July. We went up to Minnesota like we always do, but this time it was different. Rachel was missing. She was in Europe. Some other people were missing too. My aunt and one of my cousins. Lauren had mono, and my Aunt Mary stayed with her, which prevented her to come as well. So my uncle Tom came with just Alex and Jake. My other cousins weren't there, but cut them some slack, they live in Florida. Now last year everyone was here. Last year we had an absolutely miserable time with parades. It was raining/Slushing(the term isn't coming to mind), it was windy, and we didn't bring umbrellas. I think it was only supposed to rain. This was so bad we were standing in between scratchy pine trees  and putting on garbage sacks. But we weren't allowed to leave: it wasn't tradition. Anyways, back to this year: it was sooooo hot ! My cousin who isn't so little decided she wanted to climb the silo. I wouldn't do that in a million.

Grandma opening presents (soap I made her :) not to brag or anything)

Uncle  , Grandpa  , and Dad ( I'm not going to include names)

The Beautiful traditional fire

Watching the parade. Notice the grandparents aren't here? THey sat at the opposite side of the street two rows back because it was cooler. It's not the same if you're two rows back.

The little Island thing
Now the Fourth this year wasn't the full experience because we skipped fireworks. Even though we had less family members than usual, it was still a great time!

Housekeeping

First of all, I apologize for being so dang lazy. I have just had Nothing to post about. I realize it's been over a month, and when I started blogging I was like 'I'm never going to not post fir more than a week'. Yeah right. SO I am back!!!!!!  IN the future, you may see posts that should've been posted a LOOONG time ago.... If you see 'housekeeping' in the label, you then know it was supposed to be posted a while ago.It isn't that bad to post something that happened in July now is it? ;)

A Sudden Respect/Love For.....

Accordions/Accordion Players!  A colleague of my dad borrowed him her accordion to learn 'Happy Birthday' for another colleague's 50th party. Did you know that 'Happy Birthday' is actually copyrighted? Just another one of my weird-but-trues in this mind :). Here I am: I have realized that playing the accordion is quite the challenge. Not only do you have to keep air moving, you have the piano keys AND the hundreds of little chord buttons to play! It's very entertaining!

Year of the Dog

Actually, I have no idea if it is the year of the dog. (in the Chinese Calender) But for our family, it really feels like it. First, we get a new dog. Now, almost once a month, (or more) we have stray or lost dogs running around our backyard/neighborhood. Granted we have a very dog-full neighbor hood, but these dogs often don't look familiar. A year ago this would've been absolutely rare, but now it's just kind of usual for us. Of course, we still go outside to see if we can help it in anyway, but we've only been able to 'capture' one and return it to his owners. Today, we see one. Well, hear our dogs barking first outside and go check up on them. It's unfamiliar. You could tell that either he was too strong for his walker, or he had been tied up with his leash, due to the long blue leash dragging behind. Ruby and Daisy have scared the poor 'lil baby away. We see it a few backyards away, but there's nothing we can do. I have a heart for these kind of things. I would be gang for going after  and looking for it. I just couldn't imagine having my dogs lost  in a foreign neighborhood! Now, let's all pretend I am amazing at ending this post. ;) ( I have always had a problem with endings)
