A Sudden Respect/Love For.....

Accordions/Accordion Players!  A colleague of my dad borrowed him her accordion to learn 'Happy Birthday' for another colleague's 50th party. Did you know that 'Happy Birthday' is actually copyrighted? Just another one of my weird-but-trues in this mind :). Here I am: I have realized that playing the accordion is quite the challenge. Not only do you have to keep air moving, you have the piano keys AND the hundreds of little chord buttons to play! It's very entertaining!

Year of the Dog

Actually, I have no idea if it is the year of the dog. (in the Chinese Calender) But for our family, it really feels like it. First, we get a new dog. Now, almost once a month, (or more) we have stray or lost dogs running around our backyard/neighborhood. Granted we have a very dog-full neighbor hood, but these dogs often don't look familiar. A year ago this would've been absolutely rare, but now it's just kind of usual for us. Of course, we still go outside to see if we can help it in anyway, but we've only been able to 'capture' one and return it to his owners. Today, we see one. Well, hear our dogs barking first outside and go check up on them. It's unfamiliar. You could tell that either he was too strong for his walker, or he had been tied up with his leash, due to the long blue leash dragging behind. Ruby and Daisy have scared the poor 'lil baby away. We see it a few backyards away, but there's nothing we can do. I have a heart for these kind of things. I would be gang for going after  and looking for it. I just couldn't imagine having my dogs lost  in a foreign neighborhood! Now, let's all pretend I am amazing at ending this post. ;) ( I have always had a problem with endings)

An Unusual Day

Today was not the average day at school for me. We have time at the very beginning of the day to go to AP. (Advisory Period) On my way to my locker, I see a girl running after something. It's a dog. A junior-sized black lab.  No collar. No leash. Just running throughout the halls. Of course this draws a crowd. I get through the crowd and into my locker and feel a thumping against my leg. It's the dog. Surprisingly, no one freaks out.Everyone just wants to watch it.Wants to see it. Wants to know what everyone is talking about and prove it for themselves. I hear: should we go get a teacher or something? The French teacher comes out and is trying to get into the crowd, to see what's going on. With that, I left, on my way to AP. (being the time stickler I am)Later in first period(orchestra), I hear the same story. With added information. Apparently the dog had been completely ran over by a car, as in the wheels went over it and smashed it. Yet I hadn't seen a scratch on him. Multiple people had told me this. I suppose this is true. What do you think? (comments intended)

My Photogenic Babe

I have been gently reminded that I haven't posted lately. I have several posts on drafts that just haven't been posted because something hasn't been done. Well I happen to have some very good shots of little Ruby, so I might as well share them with you.(Janie) Now Janie doesn't think Ruby isn't that cute. By the end of this post, you better bet she'll be in love with her.

She's under our dinner table. Most of the time, when we're about to eat, she's under the chairs, and you might just find a surprise when you  pull your  chair out.
Aren't you just dying? Now you must remember, all of these pictures were taken by me except this last one. (No need to toot my own horn, but it's tootin' pretty loud right now) Now, Janie, aren't you just in LOVE with her? I sure am. I'm trying to think of a remix of the 'Bieber Fever' for Ruby, but nothing is coming to mind. Too bad. That would've been good. Or you might not have gotten it.
