Haircut

I just got home from the salon(I love my salon so much I wish I could go every week!). My hair is softer. Smoother. Shorter. I got three inches taken off. Knowing that a haircut is coming up, over the past week I have contemplating: Bangs? I have a very high forehead/hairline, which is mostly a curse, and it's really been taking it's toll on me.Those who knew me growing up, you knew I had bangs from about Kindergarten to third grade. The front, straight kind. and I let my mom cut them. My mom. Never will I make that mistake again. Anyways, Once I got to the salon and mentioned bangs, Peggy (My stylist) didn't think straight forward bangs would look good. So after straightening my hair, which I love but never have time to do, (and I'm kind of afraid of hair irons. that is another story though) then worked on my regular hair. My hair is very fine, and thin at the top. Peggy said that my hair will thin fast when I get older. So three inches off my regular hair! And at the top, side-ish bangs. This wold help relieve the stress at my hairline a little. I would've posted pictures, but I didn't think of a before picture. Needless to say, I love my new hair!

Valentines Look

I have seasonally changed my blog look. I wouldn't have, but my old background was well, old. And it was zoomed in for some reason. So fresh is better. A blog that I follow has all these pretty, cool, button things.  I looked at the website from where she got the from, looked at the instructions, and gave up. I' technically challenged when it comes to these things. Maybe I can persuade my dad to help me. Persuasion is one of my  guilty talents. Come to think of it, it's my only guilty talent. Huh....:) I'm not sure if 'guilty ' is the right word to put with that.

The Prairie Dog Puppy

Please, please, PLEASE tell me if this video doesn't work. I have had troubles in the past with videos and I'm not quite sure what it is! P.S. don't mind my dad talking on the phone.

Funny Thing..

Y'know that huge big ginormously long and boring post I just wrote, right? Well I was complaining about how much work I would miss today since I had a choir thing today.. Well that was cancelled. I guess you had to read my venting for nothing, huh? ( I mean you didn't really have to read it)

Make-Up Work

If you remember my posts from awhile back, like in November, i talked about how I missed like a week of school and on and on. Did I ever talk about make-up work? If I did, bear with me.When  you are gone for a day, you miss quite alot of work! I have a district concert event rehearsal/ concert thing tomorrow, so of course I won't be there. Here's my list
AP-Nothing
Orchestra- Make up for 10 points, practice 1extra hour this week.
Spanish- Missed test. Come in early for it. that's kind of a relief because I wouldn't be ready for the test.
Science- My science teacher is always really nice and good about missing days . She sent me home with a game and activity worksheet. Don't be fooled by terms game and activity.
Honors English- Pretty much nothing
Gym- This is what I absolutely hate with a passion about gym. Intramurals. This is the only spoken way to make up points. you get ten points a day for dressing out and being in gym. Each Intramural is worth 5 points. 20 minutes of torture. Well that is a strong word. Torture. So I'll have to come in early for that 3 more times.

Math- I have no clue. We had a sub today so I couldn't tell my teacher I wasn't going to be there tomorrow. So I will have to get my homework on Monday, then come in early at least twice for that.
Social Studies- Pretty much nothing. Thank goodness for Mrs.G.
I know you probably don't care about any of this, but, just read my motto at the top of my blog by my profile. Just a way to vent,(blogging about it) which I have found, works great!

Ugh

Snow. Snow, snow, snow, snow. That word is so unappealing. No matter how many times you say it.... I can't even go on. Today was really our first snow. We had about two little dustings in December, but that was it. You could've imagined my joy, with no snow. No sarcasm there. Really. I would've absolutely been fine with no snow all winter. That's pretty much impossible here. Almost everyone in my grade didn't want snow. Snow just gets in the way. If you've been thinking, 'Where is she going with this point?', I'm going to tell you. No where. This was just really a venting post. Now that I'm done, I think tomorrow I will take some pretty snow pictures. :) Did I not tell you I love snow?

Winter Girls

It actually hasn't been that cold yet.. Two little dustings of snow so far and it was 50 today! I am perfectly fine with no snow.
Note how I'm practically strangling her so she will look at my dad!
Oh Ruby, what am I gonna do with you?

Candles

I love candles. I love making them. I love burning them. I love their glow. I could just stare into their fire forever. I know I get this from my grandma Barb because my mom says she gets up at like 4 in the morning and lights candles all around the house. Then she go gets some coffee, sits down, and watches them. This brings her great joy.

Now I'm going to show you some pictures.

Now I haven't been making any candles lately because 1. I was out of wax (but I got some for Christmas) And 2. You think I need to?
Anyone want candles? Ask and you shall receive!

My view on: We Bought A Zoo

I actually saw The Adventures of Tintin today, so stay tuned, but I saw this a few days ago so I will get this one out of the way now. I loved this movie. Me and my mom both did. My dad and sister went to go see Sherlock Holmes 2. (yuck) This movie is the story of a man, Benjamin Mee who lost his wife a few years ago and decides to move with his two kids, ages 7 and 14. Eating a cake pop while I'm typing :) He and his daughter Rosie, 7, are house hunting and find the perfect house. It comes with a zoo. SO he figures, why not? This movie tells the story of a father who struggles to connect with his son, and let go. Not to mention the cutest little redheaded girl they could ever find, Maggie Elizabeth Jones. The best part is it's a true story. The Rosemoor Wildlife park adventure is still running, with Benjamin Mee and his two kids still living there.Next year they plan to add giraffes. :)
