Stuff
Well, ya she's home. I've just been reaallly lazy lately. I think it's the heat. Maybe it gets to your brain. She brought home Swiss chocolate, which is good, but tastes a little odd. Many people ask me now that she is back," I bet you missed your sister" and we both kinda grin at each other. We both know it was a mini vacation away from each other... hahaha. I finished my tote bag yesterday for JoAnn Fabrics sewing classes. its is really nice because the teacher walks you through everything, even if you are a beginner like me. A very beginner like me. But hey, it turned out pretty cute! I still need to add the magnetic snaps to the tabs and add cherry roses to the front, but it felt good to get it done. I apologize for my grammar if anythings not right. It is late.

The Wrong Reaction
Today we had some youth group kids over for a *delicious* meal. They have been doing an ongoing local missions trip in the Quad Cities and had been packaging rice for malnourished countries. Our youth pastor wanted strictly a kind of meal like they would be sending to those countries, but since they don't have it at grocery stores, we had to recreate it. 1. get the packaged bags of ready to make rice and cook it.2. get some paper cups, plates , napkins, etc. 3. get some crystal light iced tea and slightly pour some in to water. 4. since the package if rice we got didn't actually come with carrots like it looked like on the front, we added some carrots and chopped them up. 5. cook the rice. 6. prepare our fancy meal. Our youth pastor wanted us to have an extremely huge, fancy meal right in front of them. So the kids ate their rice on some blankets on the grass while we ate on the deck (pork chops and baked potatoes) in the gazebo. I totally expected some kids to go "Oh, this is the worst thing I've ever tasted!" but either the rice was really good or they didn't want to hurt our feelings, 'cuz no one complained! No one was even jealous of my pork steak!! It was so frustrating! As bad as it is, I was so looking forward to rubbing it in their faces! ;3 (that is a face w/ a mustache!!)
Icky!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the many problems we have with our loved puppy Ruby is that she is a chewer. Almost everything: Shoes, Squeakers out of her toys, Trimming edges, Wooden blinds, everything! On our trip to Petco today to get some stuff, we decided to get some anti-chewing/licking/biting spray called Fooey! It's organic and made of the peels of grapefruits and an herb commonly called "the king of bitters". Oh goodness! Well I went around spraying some of the things she commonly chews that she's not supposed to, when on the blinds, I got a tiny bit on my index finger. This was the exact thing not to do with this stuff, get it on your fingers. Apparently it tastes pretty awful. ;) So, before washing it off, (I regret doing this. I don't even know why my mind said to do it) I put my finger in my mouth. Guess what happened. That stuff is EXTREMELY awful!! I just get shivers thinking about it! There was only one thing to do : Wash it down with some Super Mario Bros. Fruit Chews!

Hearing from Her
Many of you guys may not know that my sister is out of the country on a trip for People 2 People ( an ambassador trip made by Dwight D. Eisenhower). They visit four different countries: Italy, Austria, France, and Switzerland. Right now she is in Switzerland with her homestay "family". A family in Switzerland takes her in for a few days and does activities with her just like a regular family would do. We just got an email from her last night saying that she was ok, she misses fruit, were going to move to Austria, don't worry I've tried most of the new food. (she is a very picky eater)And the most heartfelt of all: I guess I miss you guys.

My view on: Monte Carlo
Ok most of you guys probably wouldn't go to this movie because you're saying: "Oh, this looks like a kids' movie". But really, this was an awesome movie!! I could probably see it five times without getting tired of it!
So this story of this movie is that Grace (Selena Gomez, in the center) is graduating from high school and shes had one dream throughout her high school experience:To go to Paris. So Grace graduates from high school and plans to go to Paris with her best friend, Emma.(Kate Cassidy, on the right) The night before, Grace's mom and step dad send her step sister, Meg,(Leighton Meester, on the left) with them. Grace and Meg dislike each other. So, they get to Paris and find out their trip is totally terrible. They get left behind from their bus by the Eiffel Tower. Of course, then it starts to rain, causing them to run to try to find their hotel, but take a rest at an extremely fancy hotel where heiress Cordelia Windthrope Scott happens to be in. Grace happens to look just like Cordelia, and is mistaken for her throughout the movie, which is where this story begins! I highly recommend this movie, it's amazing, cute, and funny!(except for one cuss word throughout the whole film) Now you must understand the only reason I got to see this film is because my sister is out of the country or she would have forbidden it! She hates Selena Gomez, but with this movie and Ramona and Beezus, I don't see how she could! If you have free time, go see this movie! |
